Meet Artist/Author Kari Percival, Arts Arlington's Artist-in-Residence, March 5 at The Roasted Granola Café

Please join Arts Arlington for a celebration of the work of the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture’s Artist-in-Residence for 2022-23: Kari Percival.  Kari has focused the first part of her residency on developing whimsical posters featuring her original illustrations for organizations that support themes such as food security and justice; replacing invasive plants with natives; protecting the Mystic River Watershed and Spy Pond Park, and promoting eco-diversity by “leaving the leaves” in place during Fall raking season.  Meet Kari and representatives of some of these organizations, and pick up a poster to take home.

Take a look at Kari’s first book How to Say Hello To a Worm, A First Guide to Outside. There will be a limited number for sale, thanks to Arlington’s Book Rack. Coffee and baked goods will be available for purchase courtesy of exhibition hosts Roasted Granola Café.
