Martha's Vineyard Book Festival 2021 Summer Series on Sunday, August 8th

The Martha’s Vineyard Book Festival’s live Summer Series moves to Chilmark. Held both down-Island and up-Island, and outdoors, the Summer Series feature 22 of the country’s leading authors. It is an extraordinary line up of fiction and non-fiction authors with discussions on the cutting edge issues of the day. All events will be ticketed in advance and ticket sales will include the purchase of books.

9 a.m. – Senator Amy Klobuchar – Antitrust – with Cecilia Kang
10 a.m. – Short Stories/Telling Our Stories with Deesha Philyaw (The Secret Lives of Church Ladies) and Brandon Taylor (Filthy Animals) with Geraldine Brooks
10:15 a.m. – Heather McGhee – The Sum of Us – with Bliss Broyard
11:15 a.m. – Danielle Dreilinger – The Secret History of Home Economics – with Merissa Nathan Gerson
11:30 a.m. – Simon Winchester – Land – with George Gibson
12:15 p.m. – John Judis – The Politics of Our Time – with Daniel Schlozman
12:45 p.m. Sebastian Junger – Freedom – with Charles Sennott
1:15 p.m. – Louis Menand – The Free World – with Elizabeth Kolbert
2:15 p.m. – Closing panel: Considering Our Future
