Premier scholar of William Trost Richards’s work and Director Emerita and Senior Art Historian of the New-York Historical Society Linda S. Ferber will provide an illustrated lecture that looks back on the arc of Richards’s career.

Premier scholar of William Trost Richards’s work and Director Emerita and Senior Art Historian of the New-York Historical Society Linda S. Ferber will provide an illustrated lecture that looks back on the arc of Richards’s career. Through the lens of the historical context of his time, Ferber will focus on the artist’s ability to respond to changes in taste, emerging scientific interests, and the loss of cherished patrons.
