Boston-based singer-songwriter Lady Capricorn, “LadyCap” has a unique way of cutting straightthrough the surface and to the core of her listeners’ hearts. With a passion for writing from an early age,LadyCap’s meaningful lyrics and memorizing melodies uncover a truly grounded artist whose soulful vocals have the power to energize and inspire her listeners, one song at a time.

Influenced by artist like, Bobby McFerrin, Enya, Bob Marley, UB40, Sade, Rihanna, Dezarie, Radiohead and System of a Down, LadyCap has taken her musical influences, sweet harmonies, andcreated a colorful sound of her own. Though she doesn’t like to put her music in a box, her music soundssomewhat of a mix between reggae and neo-soul music that always have listeners’ swaying and dancingthroughout her performance.

She has performed at recognized music venues like The BeeHive and The Paradise Lounge, inBoston, Harlow’s Pub in New Hampshire, and many other local festivals and venues. She has even performed at Colleges like Massachusetts Institute of Technology and shared the stage with Bob Marley’s saxophonist, Glen DaCosta.

The beautiful thing about LadyCap’s writing is that many of her songs heavily influenced by her everyday work with the homeless community in Boston. From poverty struggles to calls for social and individual change, if you listen carefully to her lyrics, you can’t help but feel the passion not only from LadyCap, but from those she has encountered throughout her life.
