Curated by Lucero Project artists Stephanie Aguayo (Miami, 1998) and Rebekak Vargas (Miami, 1994), showcase their recent work at La Galeria.

This March, celebrate Women’s History month with art created by Latinas and inspired by their cultural heritage. In partnership with the Lucero Project, we’re presenting work from Stephanie Aguayo (Miami, 1998) and Rebekak Vargas (Miami, 1994). Aguayo’s experimental college addresses exoticism and tourism in the Caribbean while Vargas uses photography, video, and poetry to portray both factual histories and alternative narratives related to her Nicaraguan ancestry.
