Kids and Families: “The Art and Science of the Earth: Every Rock Has a Story”

The McMullen Museum is excited to welcome Boston College Professor and Department Chair of Earth and Environmental Sciences Ethan Baxter for a kids and families workshop focused on the geology present in William Trost Richards: Hieroglyphs of Landscape. Prof. Baxter will offer a tour through the exhibition, paying particular attention to various kinds of rocks. Kids and chaperones will be able to look closely at rock specimens that correspond to those in the paintings and learn the story
