This performance follows Ovid’s The Book of Days, a six-part poem with entries for the months January to June, remarking on issues that persist today. With subtle subversion, the character Julian contends with fear and loss by traversing a gamut of emotional stances and behaviors stemming from religious, political, and antiquarian schemes. Featuring Colin Gee, performing artist (movement and libretto) and John McDonald, composer and pianist.
