A recent acquisition by the Davis Museum, the playful plates of Klinger’s Intermezzi cycle on view this semester present the artist’s unique blend of romanticism and symbolism. A master of aquatint and etching, the cycle attests to the artist’s extraordinary facility with intaglio printing.
