Independence Day Celebration on Onset Beach

The 2019 Blessing of the Fleet will kick off on Saturday July 6th, at 10:30 am. The vessel parade will start at 11 am. For those of you interested in this event, spectators can view the parade of boats from the Onset Pier while taking in all the festivities. Participating boaters will parade their vessel on a route that will form between the islands near red nun 14, then proceed inbound to the face of the Onset Pier where your vessel will be blessed by our local priest. All mariners are encouraged to decorate their vessel. Lets see your creativity! Patriotic, pirates, dance party!!! Yes, we have great prizes for best dressed vessel and crew.

Please provide us with your contact information, vessel name and registration number. We look forward to seeing everyone at The Onset Bay Blessing of the Fleet.

After the Blessing, we will have parades for children on the Town Pier. Register your child for one or all of these fun parades; Doll Carriage, Pet or Bicycle. Awards given for each winner. Registration begins at the Pier at 10:00. Free to enter!

The 2019 Onset-Wareham Fireworks display will be held on Saturday, July 6th at approximately 9:00 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, July 7th.
