In the Spirit of Brahms

Come Celebrate A Birthday!

To celebrate Brahms’ birthday, on May 7th, join pianist Lois Shapiro and violinist Francine Trester for a festive performance of all three Brahms Violin and Piano Sonatas, and the world premiere of Trester’s “Treasury Notes,” a composition inspired by Brahms’ notebooks. The concert is at the Lilypad, Inman Square, 1353 Cambridge Street at 8 p.m. (https://www.lilypadinman.com/home/2022/5/7/in-the-spirit-of-brahms-lois-shapiro-amp-francine-trester). Professor Margaret Ward will provide narration.

Tickets are $15 and all proceeds benefit Birthday Wishes, an organization that provides homeless children with birthday parties (www.birthdaywishes.org). Before the program, Suzy Rosenthal, Program and Volunteer Manager at Birthday Wishes will speak about this organization’s unique and inspiring mission.
