We continue our exploration of several composers who deeply inspired Marcel Proust throughout “À la Research du Temps Perdu” (In Search of Lost Time). Among them are Saint-Saëns, Franck, Debussy, Fauré, and Beethoven.
Proust’s genius lies in his ability to capture the sensory experience and imaginary dimension of musical experience. This program will shed light onto some of these inspired influences through Saint-Saens, Franck, Debussy, Faure and Beethoven with the Arabella String Quartet, flutist Julie Scolnik & harpist Krysten Keches. Immerse yourselves in Proust’s world, experience music’s power to transport you into the varous access points of memory, a model for the unique narrative in his oeuvre.
