A fascinating conversation about the restaurants and delis that shaped Jewish Brookline with The Jews of Boston co-author Dr. Jonathan Sarna and Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz, grand-daughter of the family behind the famed Rubin’s Deli. Rubin’s, Jack and Marion’s, Pick-a-Chick, and now, Zaftigs, have all played a role in shaping the town’s character and have drawn all types of people to Brookline to experience Jewish cooking.
