History & Art at the Old Schwamb Mill

The Old Schwamb Mill is pleased to present two events taking place on Saturday June 15, 2019. At 1 pm, Edward W. Gordon, historian and Director of Museum Programs at the Old Schwamb Mill will present Bricks, Roll Tops & Art Glass: Evolution of Somerville Industry 1820-1960. This talk will focus on Somerville’s rich history as a hot bed of industry on the western door step of Boston. And at 2:30 pm, the Mill will host an Opening Reception for the new art exhibition 4 Vernon Street Artists: Resa Blatman, Steven Cabral, Suzanne Lubeck and Alison Pruchansky. This exhibit showcases the work of these four artists who work at Vernon Street Studios in Somerville.
