Fred Moten and Frank Stewart discuss their works in response to the Cooper Gallery’s exhibition on Frank Stewart jazz photography.
Fred Moten, Guggenheim Fellowship winner and Professor of Performance Studies at New York University, and Frank Stewart, Lona Foote-Bob Parent Award for Career Excellence Winner and lead photographer for Jazz at Lincoln Center for three decades, will discuss the arc of their careers and the place of jazz in American culture. This event will take place at the Hiphop Archive & Research Institute at the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research.
