FPAC Presents Stone Soup Poetry Night featuring "The Garage Poets"

Stone Soup Poetry returns for a live show on Wednesday, July 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 at our old home, the Fort Point Arts Community’s Assemblage Gallery, located on 70(a) Sleeper Street, just across from the Barking Crab restaurant.

Taking form in a dilapidated garage in Malden, MA after starting an online open mic together during the COVID lockdown, Garage Poets are a surrealists blending of Ethan Mackler’s improvised bass guitar and the spoken word of poets Anna Geoffroy and Jeff Taylor.

Free admission but donations for features are appreciated.
About Stone Soup
Stone Soup was founded over thirty years ago by the Boston poet Jack Powers. Though it’s origins are firmly footed in the Beats (highlights over the years have included Gregory Corso, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg, and local figure John Wieners), the weekly gathering has included all styles of poetry at one time or another. With the publication of a recent anthology and the hosting and recording of the series being carried on faithfully by such notable figures as Bill Perrault, Stone Soup will continue to invite, seek out and feature the most interesting voices in the Boston area and beyond.
