Fluff Travels: All Roads Lead to Fluff

What the Fluff? is a madcap festival honoring the invention of Marshmallow Fluff in Union Square. It celebrates Somerville’s proud tradition of innovation with live music, games, a community-wide cooking contest, zany happenings, and much more.

This year’s theme – Fluff Travels – celebrates one of the most culturally rich cities in the nation, paying homage to the many roads traveled to Union Square from all over the world. With 50+ spoken languages in its schools, Somerville is home to a mix of neighbors from El Salvador, Haiti, Portugal, Brazil, and beyond.

All roads lead to Fluff, so bike, bus, boogie, scooter, roller skate or jetpack to Union Square as Marshmallow Fluff journeys round the world and back again with deliciously diverse food, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

What the Fluff? is brought to you by Union Square Main Streets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with a mission to preserve the unique character and advance the strength of the Union Square business district and community in partnership with the Somerville Arts Council.
