Independent from parent participation, dancers will explore elements of ballet, modern, hip hop, and yoga techniques.

FEBRUARY GROOVE (Ages 4-5 | 9:00 – 10:30AM)
Independent from parent participation, dancers will explore elements of ballet, modern, hip hop, and yoga techniques. Dancers develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination while learning how to follow directions, work together and express themselves through choreographed phrases and improvisation. Class includes a snack time of approximately 20-25 minutes, lead by the South End Community Health Center (SECHC) Pediatric Wellness Department. During this time, SECHC will provide a workshop on healthy eating habits and overall wellness. Parents also welcomed during SECHC snack time. Please note that on the last day of camp, February 22nd, there will be a mini-performance at 10:15AM.

FEBRUARY MOVE (Ages 6-9 | 10:45AM – 1:00PM)
Led by Urbanity faculty members, dancers will learn contemporary/hip hop technique along with gymnastics for dancers. Dancers develop strength, flexibility, balance and coordination while learning choreography, improvisational techniques and engaging in “dance chats”. Benefits include cardio exercise, strength and flexibility, problem-solving skills, the ability to work in teams, musicality, a heightened mind-body connection, and increased confidence. Class includes a snack time of approximately 20-25 minutes, lead by the South End Community Health Center (SECHC) Pediatric Wellness Department. During this time, SECHC will provide a workshop on healthy eating habits and overall wellness. Parents also welcomed during SECHC snack time.Please note that on the last day of camp, February 22nd, there will be a mini-performance at 12:45PM.

FEBRUARY PERFORM (Ages 10+ | 1:15 – 3:30PM)
Led by Urbanity faculty members, students will learn contemporary/hip hop technique along with gymnastics for dancers. Each day of camp includes choreography, improvisation, “dance chats”, and a special guest. Benefits include cardio exercise, strength and flexibility, problem-solving skills, the ability to work in teams, musicality, a heightened mind-body connection, and increased confidence. Class includes a snack time of approximately 20-25 minutes, lead by the South End Community Health Center (SECHC) Pediatric Wellness Department. During this time, SECHC will provide a workshop on healthy eating habits and overall wellness. Parents also welcomed during SECHC snack time.Please note that on the last day of camp, February 22nd, there will be a mini-performance at 3:15PM.
