Faculty Concert: “Songs of the Other”

Join Winchester Community Music School for our final faculty concert of the 2018-2019 school year, featuring percussion faculty member Sylvie Zakarian and guest mezzo-soprano Daniela Tošić. This concert will explore and celebrate the diverse cultural crossroads reflected in Balkan music, and the complex historical tapestry of war, migration, resilience, and shared sorrows and happiness of the many ethnic groups in the region. Come find hope and peace in “Songs of the Other.” The program includes works by Gomidas, Hovhaness, Grover, Minkin, and Radan. Free admission. Pre-concert refreshments will be served at 7:00 pm.
