THE INSULT

Writer/Director Ziad Doueiri brings to life the story of a personal dispute between native Lebanese Christian Tony and Muslim Palestinian refugee Yasser.  Their argument, which family members and friends urge them to settle peaceably, becomes a court case that inflames passions nationwide.  Old resentments, both public and private, are brought to the surface.  Parties and forces far beyond the two principals insert themselves into the dispute and fan the flames.  Tony and Yasser become pawns in a larger game.
