DUTY FREE is an open mic and oral history project aimed at telling the Asian diaspora experience.
We welcome both established storytellers/poets, as well as community members, to come and share a 5-minute story or poem about migration, travel, belonging, and home.
In enjoining an oral history of our experiences, the stories shared at this open mic will be live recorded and published to SoundCloud. All event participants will also receive a link to a resource guide which contains information on developing your story for performance or publication.
