Dear Sun Girl explores the intergenerational trauma of a woman, her mother, her daughter, and her lover through a lyrical journey featuring modern dance and live poetry.
Fueled by the need to see her identities reflected in bodies of art, poet Melanie Passaretti draws her inspiration from stories of marginalized folks. Longing for a sense of home forms the backbone of this coming-of-age story featuring original music by Emmye Vernet and Passaretti. Performances by Amanda Ng Yann Chwen, Marva Yates, Phoebe Amory, Samgen Chin, and Sarah Hitchner.
