Creativity Through Collage: The Basics

Collage frees you to focus on texture, form, color and movement. It is a great way to expand your visual vocabulary and learn new techniques.

In this workshop, we will use cut paper, photos, maps, notebook paper, music sheets, antique book pages and watercolor as tools to create collage.

Working with found materials will encourage you to think inventively and constructively as you create your collage using your favorite music piece or a poem as inspiration. Use scissors, ripped paper, washes, line, glue, as ways to work in this medium. Play and let the inventive take over.
