Alexander Goldberg, the winner of the Ehlers Young Artist competition, will perform Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2. Also on the program are “Printemps” by Debussy and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2.
The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, presents its Ehlers Young Artist concert, “Spring Awakening” on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m.
Alexander Goldberg, the winner of the 2018 Ehlers Young Artist competition, performs Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, a work with many contrasts of mood and tempo, a romantic melody in the slow movement, and dance-like rhythms in the lively finale.
