Concert and Conversation with Composer Yehudi Wyner

The Concord Chamber Music Society is pleased to announce the creation and virtual release of “Concert and Conversation,” featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and pianist Yehudi Wyner, CCMS Director and violinist Wendy Putnam and GBH and CRB producer Brian McCreath. “Concert and Conversation” was filmed at the Fraser Performance Studio in the fall of 2020 and was produced for CCMS by GBH. “Concert and Conversation” tells the remarkable story, through music and words, of composer Yehudi Wyner’s musical journey and artists who champion his work, and offers personal perspectives on artistic creation, collaboration and the works of other composers. In this free series of digital content, you will hear music by Yehudi Wyner, Florence Price and Franz Schubert, as well as some lively discussion about the music and the process by which it was created. CCMS Director Wendy Putnam states: “We wanted to imbue a streaming digital format with the intimacy and excitement of our live performances – including great music; both familiar and some that may be new to the ear, combined with some engaging discourse.”
“Concert and Conversation” will be presented to the public, free of charge, via YouTube Premieres over the lunch hour each Friday during a three week period beginning February 12, 2021.
