The world premiere of The Deceiver, by Christina Whitten Thomas with an original text by Marian Partee on Jacob wrestling with the Angel; plus, encore performances of two of Seraphim’s previous commissions from Eliot Gyger and Julian Wachner. With motets by Hassler, Schütz, Brahms, and Bruckner. With Heinrich Christensen, organ; Susan Hagen, double bass; and Tim Macri, flute.
