Peck’s paintings use natural elements of Heaven, Earth, Water and Fire to evoke emotion. She is not interested in literal interpretations of her subjects, but instead, paints in an affective state in which joy, sorrow fear and anger are translated onto the canvas. To abstract the practical, she emphasizes color and form to create her mesmerizing paintings. In her newest collection, metal surfaces serve to capture light and suggest shimmering reflections.
