Charles Dutoit returns for a second week of concerts in the 2017-18 season: an all-French program featuring pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet in Ravel's serious, single-movement Piano Concerto for the left hand. Closing the program is a work that's long been a staple of the BSO repertoire, Ravel's ballet score Daphnis et Chloé, a tourde- force of orchestral coloration and dramatic atmosphere the composer felt was one of his best works.
