Castalian Quartet-Gilles Vonsattel-Davóne Tines (Canceled)

Winners of multiple awards, the Castalian Quartet joins with Festival favorites—pianist Gilles Vonsattel and baritone Davóne Tines—to perform Schumann’s marvelous piano quintet as well as Barber’s remarkable setting of the famous poem. Davóne’s moving performance in RCMF 18 is only part of his skyrocketing career, with major performances at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, and Harvard’s ART. Gilles joins Castalian for Schumann’s Piano Quintet, Op. 44, bringing dramatic balance between the kinetic energy and sublime pastoral passages.
