BOC Presents an Immersive La Boheme

This April 12-22, Boston Opera Collaborative will produce La Bohème – Puccini’s timeless classic about being young, penniless, and in love. Audiences will be surrounded by the action in the intimate and unique setting of the Turtle Swamp Brewery in Jamaica Plain. Seating in this alternative performance space is limited to 60 patrons per production.

La Bohème is an opera in four acts, sung in Italian with English supertitles. A seven-piece ensemble led by conductor Beatrice Affron will play a reduction of the instrumental score. Ms. Affron is Music Director and Conductor at the Pennsylvania Ballet and Principal Guest Conductor at Boston Ballet.

The show will be staged as a modern-day production set in Jamaica Plain by Greg Smucker.
