Join the New Art Center and Newton Community Pride to celebrate Black art! This Community Cultural Day celebrates Black History Month with art-making, snacks, and the opening of an exhibition created by New Art’s Martin Luther King vacation program students in collaboration with artist Jamaal Eversley. Bring the whole family for a day of fun!

The Showdown puts the best Fusion and Bollywood/Hindi-Film dance teams up against one another, giving the judges the unenviable task of deciding who is the best of the best. Fusion dance combines different dance styles, set to Indian music, creating its own distinct form of dance, while the Bollywood and Hindi-Film dance style is inspired by the musical numbers seen in Indian films and features expression, themes, and storylines.
