Benefit Fundraiser for Mass Nine for 9th with Jimmy Tingle

Join Mass Nine for the 9^th for a benefit fundraiser with Jimmy Tingle to raise funds for our upcoming service trip to Puerto Rico. Jimmy Tingle is a comedian, political satirist, commentator, and was a 2018 candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts. Mass Nine for the 9^th is a MA Career & Vocational Technical Education Community Service initiative born out of the Newton Public Schools Innovation Lab. Our vision is for carpentry students from nine CVTE programs across the state to volunteer their emerging building skills in the service of others, specifically victims of Hurricane Maria and Katrina. In addition to Jimmy Tingle and Humor for Humanity, special guests and comedians Chris Murphy and Corey Percival will take the stage. The Newton North Jazz Combo will perform Latin songs. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a silent auction, snacks, and a raffle. Proceeds will be donated to support Mass Nine for the 9^th and its April service trip to Puerto Rico to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
