Beginnings - Commonwealth Ballet
Commonwealth Ballet celebrates the beginnings of careers and relationships with five works in diverse styles.
The performances on March 16 and 17 at the Boston University Dance Theater open with the Boston premier of Portraiture by emerging choreographer, Rosario Guillen.
This is followed by Psalm 148, Leonard Bernstein's first published work, which he composed as a freshman at Harvard University. The solo dancer will be accompanied by soprano Mara Bonde and pianist Jean Meltaus.
