A Holiday Concert The Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 2, 3, 4, & 5
The Brandenburg Concertos have immortalized the name of the Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg, to whom, in 1721, Bach sent his lavishly beautiful presentation manuscript containing six splendid concertos with different instrument combinations. Bach’s elegant pages lay unregarded and untouched for more than a century before they were made available to an enraptured world.
