Avenue Q

The award-winning Umbrella Stage Company presents its production of the long-running musical, AVENUE Q, produced and directed by Brian Boruta, with songs by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez, book by Jeff Whitty.

The laugh-out-loud musical tells the story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it’s clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

This will be the final show to be staged in the intimate temporary black box theater The Umbrella Annex before The Umbrella Stage Company moves into the newly constructed, multi-theater Performing Arts wing of The Umbrella’s complex at 40 Stow Street.
