To kick off their next eight-week session of arts programming at Laura’s Center for the Arts (LCA), South Shore Conservatory (SSC) presents Arts Exploration Week, an open studio program offering free music, dance and drama classes. ARTS Exploration Week runs from November 2 to November 7, at 97 Mill Street in Hanover.
This new collaboration between SSC and South Shore YMCA began in September, with SSC taking charge of LCA’s programming; offering a combination of group classes, lessons, creative arts therapies programs, performances, and community events during this first year of partnership. In offering ARTS Exploration Week, SSC hopes to raise awareness of the new location, and bring people together to meet SSC teachers, and participate in fun activities before enrolling in classes.
Early childhood classes offered include Music Together®, joyful music-making for children, ages zero to four, with a caretaker; Hip Hop, for children ages seven and up, Get Messy and Little Artists, a visual art program for children one to five; Ballet, for children two to four; Discovering Drama, for ages four to six; and Let’s Put on a Show for ages six to twelve.
