Apollinaire at Home: The Wizard of Oz

Apollinaire Theatre is excited to invite you to join its Apollinaire at Home series. Apollinare at Home will be hosted by your favorite Apollinaire cast and crew who will be presenting a free online play & film script reading over zoom.

Readings will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30, and Sunday “matinee” at 3:00.

Kicking off, the Apollinare at Home series will be a reading of the classic story The Wizard of Oz by Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson, and Edgar Allen Woolf, based on the book by L. Frank Baum.

When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route, they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West to earn his help.
