As the NEP returns to the spotlight of the stage, we celebrate the instruments that make up the NEP, bringing our members into the spotlight! We are joined by Music Director finalist Yoichi Udagawa to conduct this concert.
This in-person introduction to the colorful world of musical instruments is a fun, engaging way to learn about instruments such as cello, clarinet, drums, flute, french horn, percussion, piano, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, violin, and more.

Introduction to Music Moves for Piano teaches student musicians to hear what they play, and play what they hear, in engaging, creative and fun classes.

Music & More is a summer favorite! Each 2-week morning session focuses on a theme and explores music, arts & crafts, and movement games.
In this 4-day intensive, students work with a Brookline Music School faculty member coach to rehearse select repertoire from a classic film and then perform live on stage at the Coolidge Corner Theatre before a screening of the movie.
Focusing on the rich tradition of classical chamber music, students will study a variety of repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary.
Students delve into the colorful world of improvisation, jazz, and the blues.
In Music Play classes, students are exposed to playful and rich music that nurtures their music development with singing, chanting, moving, creating, and listening.
In Musical Adventures class, students actively participate in activities that provide a strong musical foundation, including singing, chanting, stylized movement, dance, and improvisation.
