Welcome to the Museum of Science, a hub of research and invention that is New England’s most visited cultural institution. The Museum has always moved visitors to think like scientists through hands-on, minds-on experiences. Today, with 1.5 million visitors a year, we are redefining the way people think about, learn about, and interact with science and technology.
The Museum’s mission is to play a leading role in transforming the nation’s relationship with science and technology. This role becomes ever more important as science and technology shape and reshape our lives and world, and it means we:
To do this, we will continue to build our position as a leader in the world’s museum community and use our educational perspective as an informal learning institution to help the formal pre K-12 education system.
Service animals are welcome at the Museum of Science. Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, are dogs trained to do work or perform specific tasks for a guest with a disability. Other animals are not allowed in order to protect the health and safety of the animals in the Museum’s care.
