Cary Memorial Hall

Cary Memorial Hall

Cary Hall is located within the Cary Memorial Building, a historic structure located in Lexington Center at 1605 Massachusetts Avenue.

The Cary Memorial Building, named for Isaac Harris Cary, was built in 1928 with a donation from two daughters. The Colonial styled building, with its grand auditorium, has provided the community with a year-round site for musical programming and popular events for eighty years. In 2012 the auditorium was renamed Battin Hall in memory of Margery Milne Battin, who served as Moderator of Town Meeting for more than 20 years.

The facilities are available for the use of individuals or organizations engaged in historic, civic, education, cultural, or charitable activities.  The largest space, Battin Hall Auditorium, has a seating capacity of 780, with approximately half of the seating on the floor level and half on the mezzanine level.
