Tuckerman Hall

Tuckerman Hall

10 Tuckerman Street, Worcester, MA 1608

Tuckerman Hall, home of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, is an important historic structure as well as one of New England’s architectural jewels. Designed by Josephine Wright Chapman, one of this country’s earliest woman architects, Tuckerman Hall has been revitalized for expanded community use as an important multi-function facility in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts.

As a venue for community activities accommodating up to 550 guests, Tuckerman Hall is ideally sized and has a quality unlike any other facility of its kind in the region. To meet an ever-increasing demand for its use, Tuckerman Hall and its revitalization responds to a number of community needs including downtown revitalization, historic preservation of one of Worcester’s architectural treasures, and enhancement of the cultural and historic district in which Tuckerman Hall is situated, which includes such venerable neighbors as the Worcester Art Museum, the Massachusetts National Guard Military Museum, and the Salisbury Mansion.
