The largest community school for the arts in Massachusetts, South Shore Conservatory (SSC) incorporated in 1970 as a community music school in Hingham. In 1980, a second campus was established in Duxbury, and in 1996, moved to The Ellison Center for the Arts. SSC’s mission to enrich lives through a quality education in the arts currently serves more than 2,000 South Shore students of all ages and skill levels participating in over 50 programs.
