She calls herself the, “Funny Brown Girl,” and that is exactly what she is. Shereen Kassam is a member of ColorStruck!, New England’s first and only women of color comedy showcase. She was a finalist in Rhode Island’s Comedy Quest in 2008. In 2009, Shereen performed in Boston’s first annual Women in Comedy Festival, opened for the SlumDog Comedy Tour when they rolled through Boston, and was invited to be a part of the fabulous 5 Funny Females Weekend in Boston. In 2010, she was a semi-finalist in the Magners Comedy Festival – Boston.
