ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.

Boston Flow was founded in 2014 after best friends Cami Aponte and Sarah Tamburelli met hooping in the Common in September. They were inspired by eachother to build a community which would not only unite the spinners of Boston but also celebrate all other forms of artistic talent, all while contributing to the local community.

It all started with a Facebook group and a spinjam in the Common which doubled as a food drive. With the help of amazing friends, volunteers, and sponsors, Boston Flow has hosted dozens of successful events to date, including beach cleanups, art shows, burns, DIY concerts, open mics, public spinjams, and social gatherings to benefit a wide variety of nonprofits, such as the Happy Hippie Foundation, Vh1 Save the Music, Greater Boston Food Bank, Animal Rescue League of Boston, Pebbles for Nepal, Democracy Matters, and more. Boston Flow also hosts regular workshops collaboratively with Northeastern Spinning Arts Club, occasionally featuring nationally renowned instructors. Past workshop leaders include Hoopercat, Third Space Movement and Lucy Ford.

This community was founded on collaboration, acceptance, creativity, community support, friendship, and good vibes. We strive to unite Boston’s creative minds and bodies, and empower them to make a difference by doing what they love.
