ArtsBoston is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts.

The Boston Classical Guitar Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for the classical guitar through performance, education, and community building.   Since its founding in 1977, the BCGS has presented leading guitarists in concerts and masterclasses while frequently supporting local competitions, ensembles, and festivals, including Festival 21 and Boston GuitarFest.

The BCGS regularly hosts member performance parties and facilitates interaction among Boston area professionals, students, aficionados, and audiences.  The BCGS Artist Series is the foremost classical guitar concert program in the Boston area.  Recent artists have included Manuel Barrueco, Gabriel Bianco, Jorge Caballero, Cavatina Duo, Yamandu Costa, Duo Melis, Eliot Fisk, Paul Galbraith, Sharon Isbin, Katona Twins, David Leisner, David Russell, Hopkinson Smith, Pavel Steidl, Ana Vidovic, Jason Vieaux, Kazuhito Yamashita, and Xuefei Yang.  The BCGS is also a partner of the Hingham Sunday Sounds Series, which features local professionals.

A new cornerstone of the BCGS is the Boston Guitar Orchestra, a community based amateur ensemble that is committed to the promotion of the arts in the New England area through the performance and creation of works for guitar ensemble while building an inclusive community of participants and audiences.
