I Dream, created by award winning actor, singer, writer, and community activist Daniel Beaty, is a nationally recognized social justice initiative that uses the tools of the arts, immersive group exercises, and trauma recovery to support young people to rewrite the story of race and class inequity in America.

Over the course of the 2016/17 school year, I Dream: Boston has facilitated year-long residencies in two Boston public high schools: Boston Arts Academy and Snowden International High School. The I Dream: Boston 2017 Culminating Performance will feature devised original works created and performed by the I Dream: Boston participants. The performances will include storytelling based in social justice issues that are important to these theatre-makers.
Leadership of I Dream: Boston includes local acclaimed teaching artists Michelle Baxter, Brandon G. Green, and Jacqui Parker, therapeutic professionals Myisha Rodrigues-Scott and Dr. Charmin Jackman, and classroom teachers Juanita Rodrigues (Boston Arts Academy) and Joshua Streeter (Snowden International High School).

8:10-8:30 PM: Talk Back with I Dream: Boston Youth Leaders
